Hi,

Yes, I saw it. It's a bit much for the budget right now but I'll try to get it before we unplug for the summer. Thanks for replying -- and for the encouragement!

HI Spalva! I love that it's never too late to start something new. It's wonderful that you're seeing the benefit of setting limits so that you can collect your child's tears - isn't that a beautiful way of thinking about the gift you are giving? You're allowing her to experience the futility in a a limit or a boundary and then there to comfort her and collect her disappointed or frustrated tears. In regards to the bullying, I highly recommend Kim's audio about The Socially Resilient Child in the Audio & CD Store on his website. In the audio he gives the parent tools that you can share with your daughter about how to stop being teased - it's invaluable.

I could just cry reading that "harmony addicted" part. It's true that both my husband and I are introverted and sensitive to noise and chaos. Also, I had zero connection/affection as a child. We already use a lot of Simplicity style in our home life but that one still trips me up. When my eldest was around 2 I got involved on the Mothering boards and got very caught up in the non-coercion, TCS style of parenting. Of course! It was so easy for someone like me. It's one of my biggest regrets. Now, for the past two years or so I've been trying to become more authoritative in the healthy parenting sense.
I'm going to print out that paragraph. My daughter is bullied at school (always has been) and I find it very difficult not to step in and fix it all -- very difficult.
