For example, we will have a few months where we go to the library every week. Then we have a month where we don't go at all. We will have several weeks of going to the Farmers Market. And then not. Not because the ritual doesn't stick but because the needs of the family change. Our bedtime routine stay pretty much the same. We do have parent-child dates pretty regularly. Dad takes daughter for ice cream or even to run an errand. Mom takes daughter to a fun climbing center. Mom spends an afternoon playing one on one with son. I can always tell when a date is needed... and we all enjoy that special one on one time. And now that we have 2 kids, there are always 2 dates going on when there are Date Nights!
