Living Life at a Snail’s Pace
If you heard about the heart-wrenching October 1st Oprah Show on the overwhelmed mother who accidentally left her baby in the car all day, you know how stressed-out and desperate mothers are for new tools to help them slow down and be more present.
I’d like to offer a solution: Did you know thousands of mothers are meeting in self-renewal circles around the U.S./Canada every month? Women are meeting in corporations, homes, yoga studios, and healthcare settings to focus on managing their energy, reconnecting with who they are, strategies for self-renewal and how to be more present. This video illustrates why women’s groups are so powerful.
These facilitated women’s circles are based on the award-winning The Mother’s Guide to Self-Renewal: How to Reclaim, Rejuvenate and Re-Balance Your Life by Renee Peterson Trudeau, a nationally-recognized career/work-life balance coach/speaker and president of Career Strategists.
Women’s health guru, Joan Borysenko, MD, author of Minding the Body, Mending the Mind and Inner Peace for Busy Women says, “Of all the books on balance, The Mother’s Guide to Self-Renewal is the very best one.”
Trudeau’s innovative and unique life balance programs have been featured extensively in the media, including in: US News and World Report, Family Circle, AARP, CBS, Working Mother and American Way magazine, among others.

Self-care has been BIG for so many women in my circle lately. I can’t tell you how many of us are burning ourselves out on both ends… myself included. It seems every day I hear a friend or client who shares a heart wrenching account of her daily challenges to balance it all. What strikes me a whole lot is the not just the practices that constitute self-care, but how much this principle has to do with self-acceptance. Getting to a place where we care for our whole selves - mind, body, soul - without guilt, regret or even remorse. How do we simply accept ourselves to the point where we care for ourselves as seamlessly as we do others? Aren’t we really that valuable? As I often say, without us, there is nothing.
I’ve heard some goody things about this blog. The content has really been useful a great balance of text and pictures.
So I was referred from another blog ,,yours is so much to read Thanks!
